Android eSIM installation follows roughly the same steps across brands, but the exact menu names vary — Samsung, Google Pixel, and other manufacturers each organise their settings slightly differently. This guide covers the general path; see our dedicated Samsung Galaxy guide if that's your device.

Before you start

Confirm your specific model supports eSIM — not all Android phones do, and availability can vary by the region or carrier your phone was originally sold through. If your phone is carrier-locked, check with your carrier whether that affects adding an additional eSIM profile.

General installation steps

  • Open Settings and look for 'Network & internet', 'Connections', or 'SIM cards', depending on your device
  • Choose the option to add a new SIM or eSIM — often labelled 'Add mobile plan' or 'Add eSIM'
  • Scan the QR code from your BrisqNet account, or select the option to enter installation details manually
  • Complete the on-screen setup and give the new line a name you'll recognise later

Google Pixel specifics

On Pixel phones, the path is usually Settings → Network & internet → SIMs → Add eSIM (or Download a SIM instead?). The rest of the process — scanning the QR code and confirming — is the same.

Why can't I find the eSIM option on my Android phone?

Not every Android model supports eSIM, and the menu location differs by manufacturer. Check your device's specifications or our supported devices guide before assuming there's an issue with your BrisqNet plan.

Do I need Wi-Fi to install an Android eSIM?

You need some kind of internet connection to download the profile — Wi-Fi is the simplest option and lets you install before you fly.
