A scenic North American landscape

Installing a BrisqNet eSIM on iPhone takes a few minutes, and it's worth doing before you travel while you still have a stable Wi-Fi connection. iPhones from the XS/XR generation onward generally support eSIM, though exact availability can depend on your region and whether your phone is carrier-locked — check our supported devices guide if you're not sure.

Installing with a QR code

  • Go to Settings → Cellular (or Mobile Service) → Add eSIM
  • Choose 'Use QR Code' and scan the code provided in your BrisqNet account or confirmation email
  • Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm the plan and finish installation
  • Label the new line (for example, 'Travel') so it's easy to tell apart from your regular SIM

Installing manually

If you can't scan a QR code — for example, if you're viewing the code on the same phone you're installing to — choose 'Enter Details Manually' in the same menu and enter the SM-DP+ address and activation code provided in your account.

Turning it on when you travel

Installing the eSIM doesn't activate it immediately. Once you land at your destination, go to Settings → Cellular, select your BrisqNet line, and make sure it's turned on and set to use mobile data for that line. If you want to keep your regular SIM for calls and texts, set your default line for cellular data to your BrisqNet eSIM while keeping voice and SMS on your other SIM.

Can I install the eSIM before I travel?

Yes — install it while you have reliable Wi-Fi, then simply switch the data line on once you land at your destination.

What if my iPhone says it can't add another eSIM?

Some iPhone models have a limit on the number of eSIM profiles they can store, even if only one is active at a time. Check your device's storage limit or remove an unused profile before adding a new one.

Do I need to remove my old eSIM before installing a new BrisqNet plan?

No — if you already have a BrisqNet eSIM installed, you don't need to reinstall it for a new trip. Simply add a new data plan to the existing profile.
