Gift Data Terms

How sending and receiving Gift Data works.

Last updated: 30 August 2026

What Gift Data Is

Gift Data lets a BrisqNet customer purchase data and send it to someone else, instead of using it themselves — for a birthday, a trip, or simply because it's useful. It's purchased the same way as any BrisqNet plan, from live plans on brisqnet.com/esim, then sent as a gift from your account.

Who Can Send & Receive Gifts

To send Gift Data, you need a BrisqNet account and a valid payment method. To receive Gift Data, the recipient must be able to hold a BrisqNet account (see Terms & Conditions § Eligibility) and must claim the gift through the BrisqNet app — Gift Data is never claimed on the public website. You're responsible for making sure the recipient's contact details (email or phone) are correct.

How Activation Works

What happens next depends on whether the recipient is already a BrisqNet customer:

  • Existing BrisqNet customer— the gifted data is added directly to their existing, already-installed BrisqNet eSIM. There's nothing new for them to install.
  • New to BrisqNet — the recipient receives a BrisqNet eSIM, along with the gifted data, ready for them to install ahead of their trip.

Claiming a Gift

The recipient claims a gift securely within the BrisqNet app, using the notification or link we send them. Until claimed, the gift belongs to the sender's order and hasn't yet been applied to any account.

Expiry of Unclaimed Gifts

If a gift isn't claimed within a reasonable window (shown at the time of sending), it may expire. Once claimed, the gifted data itself follows the normal validity period for that plan, as described in eSIM Service Terms § Plan Validity & Expiry— claiming a gift doesn't extend how long the underlying data plan lasts.

Refunds

Gift Data follows the Refund Policy, with these specifics:

  • an unclaimed gift can generally be refunded to the sender, in line with our unused-eSIM refund terms
  • once a gift has been claimedand the data applied to a recipient's eSIM or account, it's treated the same as any other activated plan, and is generally non-refundable
  • if a gift expires unclaimed, contact support — we'll review refund eligibility case by case

Sent to the Wrong Person

If you realise you've sent Gift Data to the wrong recipient, contact support@brisqnet.comimmediately with your order reference. If the gift hasn't been claimed yet, we can usually cancel and redirect or refund it. Once a gift has been claimed by the recipient, we generally can't reverse it, though we'll always look into unusual cases in good faith.

Abuse Prevention

To keep Gift Data fair and prevent it being used to launder fraudulent purchases or exploit promotions, BrisqNet may apply sending limits, identity or payment verification, and fraud monitoring to gift orders, and may decline, delay, or reverse a gift where our Acceptable Use Policy has been violated.
