What happens when your travel eSIM data expires?
Every plan has a validity window. Here's what actually happens when it ends, and what your options are.

Every BrisqNet data plan has a validity period — a set number of days, or a fixed date range, shown clearly when you buy it. Once that window closes, any unused data on that plan is no longer usable, even if you didn't get through the full allowance.
What actually happens at expiry
When a plan's validity period ends, that plan simply stops providing data — there's no automatic charge, and nothing carries over by default. Your BrisqNet eSIM profile itself doesn't disappear or need to be reinstalled; it's the specific plan attached to it that reaches the end of its term.
What to do next
- If you're still travelling, buy a new plan for the same destination directly from your BrisqNet account — no reinstallation needed
- If your trip is over, there's nothing to do — the eSIM stays installed for your next trip
- Check the validity window before you buy, and choose a plan length that comfortably covers your actual trip dates rather than cutting it close
Why plans work this way
A fixed validity window keeps pricing predictable and transparent — you know exactly what a plan covers before you buy, rather than an open-ended arrangement. It also means BrisqNet's reusable eSIM model works cleanly: your one profile can carry a series of separate, clearly bounded plans over time as you take future trips.
Do I lose unused data when a plan expires?
Yes, by default — unused data doesn't carry over once a plan's validity period ends, unless stated otherwise for a specific plan at checkout.
Can I extend a plan's validity instead of buying a new one?
Plan validity is fixed at the time of purchase. If you need more time or data, add a new plan for your destination.
